SEMEN SALE FOR THE HEIGHT OF BREEDING SEASON

Our sale this month features three packages of semen.  Each package consists of two straws each from the following bulls:  RK 75 Grizz’s Ghost, RK 17 Smokin’ Joe and RK69 Woodpecker.  This is a rare opportunity not likely to be repeated since both Grizz’s Ghost and Smokin’ Joe died last year and we have to limit Woodpecker’s live covers due to his injury (only 3 to 4 cows per year).

Smokin’ Joe, K17 was buried with honors at Rice Ranch this year when he died of old age.  Sired by CP (Plummer) bull and out of a Plummer cow, Joe was one of the foundation bulls of the Kephart bloodlines.  He was retired at the 2004 PBR finals as a 10 year old.  Anyone wanting to get back to the original, great Plummer bloodlines should grab this semen.

Woodpecker, RK69 broke his leg in 2002 at the Futurity of the Century.  We have to limit his live covers due to this injury so we primarily use him for AI.   His oldest calves are now three-year-olds, and seem to be the real deal. He is a half brother to PBR bull RK 74, Mr. Harrison, and goes back to Plummer Top and Bottom.

Grizz’s Ghost, RK75, is a full brother to #88 Super Duty.  Sired by 329 Houdini, and out of Rice/Kephart cow K-23, Wanda.  Grizz was the first embryo bull selected for the PBR Finals.  There is a limited amount of this semen.

Price: $1500 per package. Each package contains a total of six straws which includes two straws of semen  from each of the bulls shown below.  Buyer pays shipping and handling from Champion Genetics in Canton, Texas.
